Paris Tapis, Chilali and Emma's Venture are the three for the shortlist here and we will give the narrow vote to Paris Tapis. The selection ran well last time when second behind Hopelessly Devoted at Haydock. That filly from the Pat Haslam yard runs in the first race here tonight and if she goes well it will advertise the form of that latest run. Chilali is dropped slightly in grade after being well beaten last time and although she should be competitive at this level, she is beginning to look exposed and is possibly best watched. Emma's Venture is another eased in grade after being well beaten last time, but she would have claims here on the basis of her previous fourth at Beverley behind Mytton's Dream. Artadi will need to improve on what she has shown to date but she might be capable of running on into a place, while a watching brief on the market is advised on the newcomer La Providence for any signs of confidence. However, in a race that will not take much winning we will stick with Paris Tapis as our selection.
