Mimas Girl gets a tentative vote here ahead of Countrywide Girl and Pooka's Daughter, but keep an eye on the betting market for clues to solving this puzzle. Looking at the field. Baytown Flyer has regressed since winning at Lingfield as a juvenile. Countrywide Girl is possibly better at today's trip than a mile and has place claims in this moderate contest. Galaxy Fallon drops back radically in trip today and maybe the betting will provide clues as to this one's chances. Mimas Girl has only tried this trip a few times and, with cheekpieces fitted, might yet go well. Miss Ocean Monarch has never run here but her Turf form means that you could not entirely dismiss her chance, although she has not run for 174 days. Pooka's Daughter is another who could go well if on top of her game, while Sawah, formerly owned by Hamdan Al Maktoum, is well related and at least showed some improvement on her latest run, entitled to improve on her last run. Overall, though, she remains hard to assess. Sennen Cove's Turf form gives him a chance but he has never run well on Southwell's surface. Miss Millietant seemed to show some improvement when fitted with a visor last time but, curiously, it has been removed today. Not an easy race to fully fathom, but we'll side with Mimas Girl and hope that those cheekpieces do the trick.
