In a tricky contest, On The Trail gets the vote ahead of Above Board, Attorney and Evangelist. Running through the field. On The Trail benefited from a very positive ride by Tony Culhane last time to score at Wolverhampton. He has proven himself here so has a lot of things going for him but the question is can he repeat the dose? Like On The Trail, Above Board finished behind Wub Cub at Southwell on February 29 but, as we saw from On The Trail's next run, that form was left behind at Wolverhampton. At his best, Above Board has claims here. Attorney was well behind On The Trail at Wolverhampton last time but is another that has claims if everything falls right for him. Evangelist is another to consider. He won at Wolverhampton two runs ago when fitted with a visor and is now fitted with cheekpieces, although he has to turn around Wolverhampton form with On The Trail last time to play a leading part here. Today's ride got a good tune out of Heathyardsblessing last time and a repeat of that run would give him chances while Largs has recently been knocking at a door that must one day open for him. Malaah would have a squeak if returning to the best of his Lingfield form of two years ago but his only run to date on this surface was disappointing. Overall, then, we'll take a chance on Tony Culhane working the oracle once again with On The Trail, who gets our vote.
