Encores is selected to step up on his debut run by accounting for Motarjm and Phreeze, with Angel Voices worth a small mention. Encores did not help his cause with a tardy start on his Folkestone debut, but stayed on really well to finish third to Thabaat. The step up to a mile is a plus factor, and with minimal improvement, Neville Callaghan's gelding should prove hard to beat. Michael Jarvis is double-handed, with Eddie Ahern on newcomer Sky More. However, it is the other one, the Chris Catlin-ridden Motarjm that makes more appeal after fading up the Leicester hill when fancied on his introduction. Alan Swinbank also sets a poser by running two, Bivouac, who may be suited by this drop back in trip, and Phreeze, for whom the booking of Jamie Spencer catches the eye. Angel Voices is much more exposed than the rest, but at least has plenty of experience. They appear to be the main contenders then, with the vote going to Encores.
