Malikiya is the obvious one here and therefore he gets the strong vote of confidence ahead of Smiling Applause and Pukka Tique. This isn't a strong contest and Malikiya, fit from a recent run on the flat at Pontefract, should land this if reproducing the form of his win here in February. He steps up in trip today which should be no problem and he looks the solid call. Dual-performer Pukka Tique won at Hereford on his hurdling debut but then disappointed on his next start. This step up in trip isn't sure to suit however so for that reason he is opposed. Flirty Jill should come on for her recent reappearance and has claims at a decent price, however of more interest may be Smiling Applause who returns from a monster lay-off but should be considered if the market vibes are positive. In a weak race, Malakiya gets the confident nomination.
