In depth

Verdict

Tarkesar has shown improved form of late now that he has encountered more suitably fast ground and Paul Blockley's gelding is taken to gain a deserved success getting the vote ahead of Zizou and Executive Paddy. The last mentioned ran better on fast ground at Exeter last time and has claims on that evidence although his overall profile is not that encouraging. David Pipe's The Castilian was well held here last time and may now be best watched, while Twist Bookie may need some help from the handicapper. Decree Nisi is closely matched with Zizou on their running at Plumpton last time but does not look to be the most straight-forward of performers and a safer bet looks to be Tarkesar, who gets the vote.
