      Verdict

      Alonso De Guzman has looked very progressive in his two recent wins and so Jim Boyle's gelding is fancied to win again; Stringsofmyheart and Clear Reed make up the shortlist. The selection is adaptable in regards to trip and is trying this distance for the first time but it is unlikely to cause any problems. He has gone up in the weights for his two Wolverhampton wins but if he acts on this surface he should run a big race although a strong pace would be preferred. If he doesn't get one in this smallish field then it may be Stringsofmyheart who is able to nick this from the front, as he did in a Hamilton claimer two starts back. Soldier Field showed more when beaten into second last time and could go well, along with the unexposed Clear Reef who enters handicaps on a mark of 64 but we may not have seen the best of him quite yet. My Sata is a course winner so needs respect, however it is the progressive Alonso De Guzman who is fancied to oblige.
