The opener can go the way of Alfie Tupper with both Machinate and Casablanca Minx worth noting. The selection carries a six pound penalty for his success over course and distance last time out but comes into the race in the form of his life at present. The old saying is strike while the iron is hot and connections are keen to keep their charge going before the handicapper gets a hold of him. Machinate was in winning form here three starts ago and while he is now nine pound higher he has continued to run well in defeat so he is worth noting in the betting market. As is Casablanca Minx who is another that has been running well of late without getting his head in front and as he receives weight all round here he is one to consider.
