In depth

Verdict

Bentley Brook is worth a try here against Kylkenny and Flame Creek. The selection is taking a step up in trip this afternoon but he is at his best on the fibresand and with Trachonitis upholding the form of his recent Southwell win; if he stays - he should win. Kylkenny owes the game nothing and continues in good heart. He does not exactly shape as a 1m 6f horse and it is with reluctance that we oppose. Flame Creek is having something of an Indian summer as far as his form is concerned. Nessen Dorma had been rated in the mid-80's when with James Given and is back after a long absence. Clear Reef won two on the bounce here but has questions to answer after a low par run. Victory Quest is arguably weighted up to his best and probably needs two miles these days. Bentley Brook appears the pick on paper and we award him the vote.
