TAPER JEAN GIRL stands out at the weights here and gets the vote ahead of Whispered Times and Kapelad Junior. The selection went well in defeat over this trip at Wolverhampton last time and is better off with all her opponents than if this were a handicap. Although unproven on this surface, the Polytrack at Dunstall Park rides slowly enough and there is hope that she will act here. Marco Botti has his yard in reasonable form and she looks the one to be on. Whispered Times took a Hamilton median auction contest over 6f in the summer, but the handicapper over-assessed his abilities thereafter and he has quickly plummeted 16lbs in the weights. This would be his easiest task since that success and he is respected. Kapelad Junior was not far behind the selection at Wolverhampton and connections turn to first-time blinkers in the hope that he can raise his game, so he is not out of this. Dontbugthebunny should be capable of some involvement, while Light Nights is an interesting booking for Paul Hanagan and with the yard going well we should take note of any money in anticipation of improvement from this filly. Taper Jean Girl gets the nod.
