This is a very competitive handicap which may fall to Madiba with Broughton Knows, Paradise Flight and Port Sodrick all capable of going close. The selection, a son of Emperor Jones, is hardly bred for this trip, but has shown his best form over two miles. He chased home Herne Bay over course and distance during the summer, and proved his well being with a recent second at Wolverhampton over 12 furlongs. He does have to shoulder top-weight today, but looks well up to the task. Broughton Knows ran well last time over shorter, but has struggled when tried at this trip before. Irish recruit Paradise Flight is an interesting contender, he landed the Ulster Cesarewitch in August and has joined an in form stable.Meanwhile Port Sodrick comes into the equation having finished runner up to Sharadi at Bath last month. All in all it is a very tricky event, but Madiba just edges the decision.
