A very competitive affair on paper can go the way of Reem One ahead of Cordial, Yenaled and Night Sight. Reem One was sent off as the market leader at Newmarket on what was only her third career outing, but she never got the strong gallop she needed and was narrowly beaten by Into The Shadows. Given a mark of 76 for her handicap debut, the Michael Jarvis-trained filly has the scope to go up a few more pounds at least. Cordial is rated 73 but has to give three pounds to the selection. However, with Sir Mark Prescott at the helm, he may also have lots in reserve, having been off 17 months prior to his promising comeback at Lingfield. Yenaled raced on three shoes on his Polytrack debut at Lingfield last time, and ran well in the circumstances to finish second. The drop back to amore suitable trip will be in his favour, while Night Sight returns to the Flat after mixing it with Listed company over hurdles at Kempton. He has won over the course and distance in the past so could go well along with Shape Up who possibly has more to do in his bid for a four-timer. Tricky Venture and Glory Quest have their share of weight, and so it is Reem One who appeals the most.
