Game Guru looks capable of giving weight away to some disappointing rivals, the best of which may be Elegant Gracie and Ballyrush. Paul Blockley's gelding is taking a step down in grade having run well in handicaps and claimers recently. The only real concern is the trip which is new territory for him, however he has been noted staying on at the one pace, and against these rivals it shouldn't be too much of a problem. Ballyrush hails from the shrewd Karl Burke yard and is another taking a big step down in class having been up against the likes of Vortex and Book Matched in his most recent races. Elegant Gracie has done all her racing at Lingfield and has shown enough to suggest she can take a hand in the finish here if she handles the track. Of the others Captain Crusoe would be of interest if attracting support in the ring, but for the selection we return to Game Guru.
