        Verdict

        There was little separating Bird Dog and FIRST IN COMMAND over 6f here on Tuesday, but the latter had earlier gone close over C&D with Bookiesindex Boy and Spic 'N Span behind. He gets the vote here with Michael O'Connell's claim further helping his cause. Canadian Danehill won at Wolverhampton on Monday but is 6lb higher than when beaten only a head at this track by Bird Dog in January, while Sandwith has had a short break since scoring over track and trip in December but is still preferred to Ace Of Spies over today's minimum trip.
