A compressed handicap typical of the track here and the leading players look to be Spirit Of Coniston, Lady Bahia, Garlogs and Thoughtsofstardom, and we take Garlogs to score. Alan Bailey's gelding is a previous course and distance winner who is 4lb below his highest winning mark, despite carrying top weight here. True, he has proved a little expensive to follow of late but his next win is getting closer anf the application of first time blinkers here makes him an attractive proposition as far as we are concerned. Spirit Of Coniston won over c&d last time out and comes back here unpenalised, so is clearly one for the short list. However, this is probably a slightly better race than that one and consistency has not been his byword so we will oppose. Lady Bahia put up a better effort off this mark last time out at Lingfield and is entitled to go close given that only as recently as November she was rated 16lb higher. She does at least have a course win to her name so she can handle the surface and she can get involved, while Thoughtsofstardom is also weighted to be very close to her based on that Lingfield contest. He should not be far away, but preference is for topweight Garlogs
