In depth

Verdict

Surricate has shown steady improvement this term and with the yard of Ferdy Murphy in good form at present has to be respected but the five-year-old may have to settle for minor places with Scarvagh Diamond hard to oppose in a race where Autograph looks the main danger. The selection was pulled up in better company last time but looks to have been found a more suitable contest for his ability here and the Nicky Richards-trained gelding is hard to oppose on earlier form. Just Stunning is lightly raced but needs to improve on all known form to trouble the judge, while Chief Confidant was well held on his bumper debut and is hard to back on that evidence making his debut over timber. Winning bumper horse Autograph has shown ability over hurdles and has to be respected but Scarvagh Diamond has solid claims and is hard to oppose.
