Verdict

SINGINGINTHERAIN is a hopeful choice ahead of Drumpellier and Maoi Chinn Tire. The yard of the selection boasts a one in three strike rate at this track and there's every reason to think that their filly can show improved form for tackling this surface given that she's by Kyllachy. It's true that her form in maidens and a Kempton handicap is nothing out of the ordinary but there's hope in her pedigree that she could prove a better performer on this surface. She had Maoi Chinn Tire around about 2 lengths in front of her in that handicap but has claims of reversing the form at the weights as Stan Moore's filly has picked up a penalty for a deserved win at Lingfield and there's no reason to believe that she won't prove effective here. Sandy Toes sprung a surprise over five last time and needs to build on that, Paint By Numbers needs to improve for the switch to handicapping but Eight Hours and Drumpellier would both be of interest on their return to action if attracting support with the latter having already shown promise at the track from a bad draw but we're going with Singingintherain.
