A fairly open contest which should chiefly involve Caerphilly Gal, Doctor Dennis, Sound And Vision and Ming Vase and we take the latter to score. The selection has performed well in defeat on three previous starts here, with his latest second to Abbeygate over a mile perhaps the best of them. Although never a winner over 7f, it is probably not the trip that has beaten him, and off this mark he looks just about capable of winning from a good draw. Caerphilly Gal has been very competitive off this sort of mark and over this trip and should again be thereabouts, though she has a pretty wide draw which could prove decisive. Doctor Dennis was a winner here over 6f last month but looks weighted up to the hilt now, while Sound And Vision is still a maiden who doesn't quite look to have enough toe over 7f, so we'll bypass him and take Ming Vase to come good.
