New Guinea, Fairlight Express and Ha'penny Beacon are three against the field in this competitive handicap and the vote is given to New Guinea. The selection has been running well of late without winning but a reproduction of his latest third in a better race at York sets a fair standard and he need only run up to that mark to win this with a little in hand. Fairlight Express rates the main danger on his latest third behind Ask, that form has since been franked but he has been done no favours by the draw and is passed over for that reason. Ha'penny Beacon was a fair third behind Sir Arthur especially as the step up in trip looks sure to suit. Tirol Livit is game and consistent and is sure to run his race but he is exposed while Lihusan Al Haz is from a shrewd yard and should be noted ion the market but in a poor affair for the winner we are happy to return to New Guinea.
