The 4:25 is the Sponsor At Southwell handicap over a mile and a half, a trip that should see the likes of Iloveturtle, Tetragon and Port Moreno figure prominently. The latter gained due reward for some consistent efforts when scoring on turf here last time, the fast ground helping him to defeat Wasted Talent in a driving finish. The fibresand might just blunt his finishing kick though. Tetragon, recently gelded, is still a maiden and has been crying out for this trip judged on previous efforts. However, a look at his breeding suggests that he will struggle to stay the full distance and a place may be all he can hope for. Senor Toran hails from the stable of Paul Cole who has made a bright start to the year, but even with Ryan Moore in the plate, he makes little appeal, especially with Iloveturtle in the line-up. Mark Johnston¿s son of Turtle Island is still seeking his first success, but showed when third at Musselburgh last time that he is starting to recapture his form. That was his first attempt at this trip, and although like a few of the others, his ability to stay has to be taken on trust, he has the potential to make a name for himself in minor staying contests, and Iloveturtle gets the vote.
