      Verdict

Eight go to post for the Southwell 2:55, a maiden auction race over five furlongs. Unfortunately it appears to be a lop sided affair, with Are You There head and shoulders above the rest on form. David Barron is top trainer at Southwell and the fact that he lets his filly turn out here after her splendid debut effort at Musselburgh is a tip in itself. The daughter of Presidium looked very much in need of the experience, starting slowly and running green but running on well to claim third nonetheless. She clearly has ability and will have learned a good deal from the outing. Johnny From Donny made his debut here recently but was beaten a distance, and second place should go to one of the newcomers. On breeding, Coleorton Prince is a son of speed machine Paris House and if he has inherited any of his sire¿s ability, a few visits to the winner¿s enclosure look assured.
