Verdict

A small field and one that can be swept aside by King's Bounty, who ended a series of near misses with victory at Wetherby last time on good to firm. Though the ground here is not quite as quick as that, he should comfortably have enough pace to see off the other three and he jumps well into the bargain. Tim Easterby's gelding should not be opposed. Carnacrack won over course and distance on heavy ground in November and possess some ability, but does have a tendency to make errors and he will not be able to get away with them against the selection. Neverthless he is some way better than what we have seen from the other pair and is taken to complete the forecast.
