In depth

Verdict

Trainer Ian Wood has made a good start to the turf campaign and he should have another winner here with Bella Tutrice. Third in the Brocklesby at Doncaster the other week, the filly was second at Kempton just a couple of days later and with that form franked by the third placed runner who has come out and won since, she can put her experience to good use and score. Only If I Laugh could be the main danger. Trying to give away 12lbs last week at Bath, the gelding was caught close home and should again give a good account here. The market should be watched as far as the debutantes are concerned, though it would be no surprise to see Richard Hannon-trained Whiplash be in the shake-up after the trainer's flying start with his two-year-olds.
