Capetonian looks the pick in this affair with Cool Cliche and Merchant Red. Tony McCoy's presence means that we'll be having to take a short price but the maiden hurdle he was placed in at Fontwell looked stronger than this and if he has blown off the cobwebs for that effort, connections would be disappointed were he to get beat. Cool Cliche has shown his better form with plenty of give. It remains to be seen as to whether he will be so effective on today's surface. Merchant Red was well outpointed at Doncaster by Greenbridge. The winner has gone on again since. Pouilly has his first run for Henrietta Knight having left the care of Ian Ferguson. Dakota Bay may need further in time. Porters War has not troubled the judge thus far. This looks a race that does not have a great deal of strength in depth and on what we have seen thus far, Capetonian looks the call.
