Cleverality has shown decent form in point-to-points, looks to be potentially well treated for his return to rules racing off his light weight and, with the stable of Alison Thorpe in good form he gets the vote ahead of Silvergino and Sound Of Cheers. The last mentioned probably found the ground too testing when pulled up at Hexham last month and is better judged on earlier form that gives him every chance in this moderate contest. Ravenscar ran better last time and has slipped back to a fair mark so has to be considered, while a market move for Tipp Top would be of interest on ground that suits. Sarahs Gift ran well at Chepstow on a soft surface last time and would have claims if able to reproduce that form on this faster surface. Silvergino has been given a chance by the handicapper and looks to be coming into form but preference is for the potentially well treated Cleverality.
