CANADIAN DANEHILL can post a shock with Godfrey Street and First Order the ones to run him close. Robert Cowell's stalwart has shown plenty of aptitude for this five furlong trip at Southwell in the past and confirmed himself still capable of winning a race when obliging at Wolverhampton in December. He would not have been suited by the make up of his recent experience at Lingfield and can repay losses here. Godfrey Street was a frequent winner for Kevin Ryan at the course last year. Now with Tony Newcombe, he has put up two relatively fair efforts at Wolverhampton and Great Leighs. First Order has proved a bargain buy for Ann Stokell. He finished ahead of our selection on their last meeting and is entitled to go close again. Whiskey Creek was scheduled to be here on Thursday and on previous evidence, there is every reason to believe that he'll turn out again. Wotashirtfull won a handicap for Kevin Ryan and is now in the care of Jim Boyle. The Tatling continues to show enthusiasm for the task at his advanced years although Bo McGinty is in the same category but to a lesser degree. Canadian Danehill is the selection.
