PROVOST is the pick in this contest with Mudhish and To Bubbles served up as our alternatives. Mick Easterby's yard bounced back with a bang on Tuesday and it could be worth taking a chance about the five-year-old this afternoon. His latest run over seven furlongs showed that he is more than capable of showing form and over today's longer trip, his stamina might not just overcome the none-stayers. Mudhish returns from a sizeable absence. Rated in the 80's as a juvenile, he does have to prove whether he is able to handle the surface at Southwell. To Bubbles won a maiden at this track for David Barron though has yet to deliver anything of note this winter. Pearl Dealer was a little too fresh for his own good after a month off so it is to be hoped he settles better this afternoon. Admirals Way seems better on turf while Moment Of Clarity will be worth watching once he returns to Wolverhampton. Desert Lover was engaged to run earlier in the week. Fairly Honest is moderate but the booking of Chris Catlin catches the eye. Provost is the pick.
