We have shortlisted Quincannon, Geronimo, Dispol Peto, Chorus and, possibly, Xaloc Bay, with the vote going to Geronimo. The selection has won from a three-pound higher mark than he currently runs from at Wolverhampton, although he has also won here. He looked to be coming back to form last time and, if that is the case, he should run well, even though he has an inexperienced rider on board. Should he fail to live up to that billing then Quincannon, who is lightly raced, came good over six furlongs here last time, and looks pretty well weighted, might be the one to take advantage. Chorus has place claims, particularly if you factor in his good rider's claim - although he was booked for two in the race at the 48-hour-stage - while Xaloc Bay is now 10lbs below the mark from which he ran well at Lingfield in February, and he is a course and distance winner. Dasar (for whom his rider is doubly booked in this race) is another with a place claim, and Dispol Peto, who is a course and distance winner but has yet to win a handicap, certainly has chances if at his best today. Overall, though, we will side Geronimo
