Summer Charm is the pick ahead of Taylor Maid and Savoy Chapel. The Willie Jarvis-trained inmate can at least boast winning form, that success coming at Southwell in December, when she improved markedly on what she had shown here the time before. The application of a dropped noseband and different bridle was put down as the reason for her victory, which unfortunately she failed to repeat last time. That makes her no good thing here, but there does not appear to be a viable alternative, so with Lisa Jones again the saddle, she gets the vote. Taylor Maid was doing all her best work at the finish in a maiden over the course and distance last time so will be better suited to a step up in trip. In addition, she looks high in the weights for what she has achieved so far, while Savoy Chapel was only plating class as a juvenile, and although running a fair fifth in nursery company last time, is another that is still a maiden. Summer Charm has leading claims and is the one to beat in a poor race.
