A few of these are destined for Regional Racing and this is a pre-cursor of worse things to come. However, Paul Blockley has done very well in targeting races at this sort of level and it may be worth siding with Daunted, who proved he is no back number yet when finishing fourth on his return from a long absence just over three weeks ago. Over Rating, East Cape and Exit To Heaven head the list of dangers - with the last-named fancied to give the selection the most to do. But Daunted, a previous course and distance winner, is presently almost 30lb lower in the handicap than he was at his best and he will feel like he has been let loose if he still retains any of his old enthusiasm. It is also worth noting that Daunted's task is made a little easier with a useful 5lb claimer booked for the ride and the hint should be taken if support arrives for him just before the off.
