In depth

Verdict

Not too many of these can be given much of a chance and, back over seven furlongs, Dubai Tower looks worth a wager. An encouraging third on his debut at Wolverhampton behind Weet Watchers, Mark Johnston's colt seemed not to appreciate the drop back to six furlongs at Lingfield subsequently (only beaten four lengths by Lithuanian) and can be seen to better advantage over today's distance. Jamie Osborne's Royal Spin lost no caste in defeat behind easy winner With Reason on his all-weather debut last month and should strip fitter for the run (his first outing since May). Mister Sweets and Dancing Forest have both shown the ability to win a race of this nature, while jockey bookings suggest that Silver Coin is the better of the two Tim Easterby-trained runners in the field although David Allan, who rides Shin Paradise, has done so in the gelding's two previous outings.
