Gerard Butler's QUARANTE DEUX lacks any experience of the Fibresand but being by Fusaichi Pegasus he should improve for racing on the surface and the lightly raced gelding looks the clear form pick judged by previous form in handicaps and he gets the confident vote ahead of Calculating and Simonside. Brain Ellison's gelding has been running well on turf of late and the seven-year-old could be of interest on his belated debut on the Fibresand over a trip that suits. Mark Johnston's Act Of Kalanisi has been given a chance by the handicapper having been dropped another 3lbs since his most recent start but he is hard to back with confidence on recent evidence, while Michael Bell's Highland Legacy looks too high in the weights following recent efforts. Calculating has gone well here before and could be of interest off a fair mark but it is hard to get away from Quarante Deux, who looks the clear form pick and he can make a winning Fibresand debut.
