Lucky Numbers defeat of Mey Blossom was boosted by the subsequent success of the runner-up over the weekend and Paul Green's gelding has every chance of following up back on the Fibresand but a 4lb rise for that latest win makes this more difficult and it may be worth siding with CONFESSIONAL, who gets the verdict ahead of Invincible Lad. Eric Alston's gelding has been running consistently well in recent outings on turf and has to be respected back on the Fibresand today off what seems a fair mark. Captain Carey was not disgraced at The Curragh on his most recent outing but seems a shade high in the weights, while Alan Bailey's Imprimis Tagula should appreciate the return from turf but faces no easy task under 9st 11lb. Declan Carroll's Mon Brav was awarded the race in the stewards room at York last time and is only 3lbs higher now so he has to be respected but preference is for Confessional. Tim Easterby's gelding is only 4lbs higher than when a good winner over course and distance in May and has been running well on turf of late so he looks worth siding with for his in-form yard.
