After demolishing his rivals last time it's tempting to side with Chernik but we'll pass on this occasion and instead chance our luck with the consistent STAGECOACH DIAMOND with Canada Street also considered. Chernik was a 23 length winner of a novice handicap chase last time out and although that was impressive he didn't have much to beat that day and he has more to do against these more experienced types over an untested trip. The selection, Stagecoach Diamond, has held his form well in similar races the last twice and is weighted to be competitive again. The trip is about right for this 10-year-old these days and he knows how to win at this track. Canada Street should go well off this mark and while untested at this trip he has hinted in the past he may get it. Dunbrody Millar is entitled to get involved off what now looks a dangerously low mark based on the pick of his chasing performances but his only attempt over this far was a little off putting so with all things considered we turn to Stagecoach Diamond.
