Verdict

Aston Lad might be the highest rated in the field but we'll show preference for AVIATION, who should go well in selling company with Toss The Caber looking good for some prize money at a bigger price. The selection has been running well enough to grab some prize money in better handicaps recently and behind some useful enough types. A return to racing over timber is also a positive as is this step down into selling company for the first time. Ashton Lad should also show more in this company after some hit and miss performances over fences and on the level. The pick of his hurdles efforts have him close over a trip that has suited in the past. Asis Supreme has been well beaten in two starts over timber so far but it could be this going will bring out more. Woody Valentine took one of these races in December and should be sharper for a run out on the level this month but the trip looks to be stretching his stamina and Imtihan could also be added to the shortlist with his yard going well. Not the best race of the evening but certainly competitive where the vote goes to Aviation.
