Golden Future has been getting closer of late, with Film Festival and Sea Cove previous winners over course and distance but our selection is NONO LE SAGE. Although David Pipe's six-year-old produced a disappointing run at Uttoxeter last time out, previous wins earlier this year suggest there could be another win on the cards and we side with him today to return to winning ways. Four wins from eleven starts isn't a bad record at all and we will go with the Pipe-trained gelding. Golden Future has only ever won on the flat and has not really shown much over hurdles before, with the exception of his last outing where there was a distinct progression. If showing any more improvement here it wouldn't be out of the question to see him making a challenge. The trip and conditions should also suit. Sea Cove has won here before last year but she has been shocking so far this year. A really dismal effort twenty-four lengths behind Arumun means we avoid this mare today. Film Festival has not made an impression so far this term but has won twice before over the trip here and if recreating this form again could be in with a chance. Lets Go Girls put in a much better effort last time and should develop again. However, we believe Nono Le Sage should beat the competition.
