Troodos Jet and Schinken Otto have been victorious over course and distance before but our pick in this contest is RUBY ISABEL. The selection ran really well last time to win after being hampered by a loose horse at Towcester and Richard Johnson retains the ride here. Tim Vaughan is in a rich vein of form lately and has regularly been producing the winners this year and although he has not recently produced a chase winner at this course, this could well change with Ruby Isabel having a good chance. The pick lost her maiden tag last time after ten starts and with a similar effort in this contest could be the one to be on. Schinken Otto beat Troodos Jet when he was last seen at this track and a poor effort last time at Cartmel can be taken with a pinch of salt as he had run loose after a false start and already jumped a fence. This would have sapped his energy and we ignore that run and suggest he could put up a good challenge. Troodos Jet won off the same mark back in March but despite finishing ahead of Schinken Otto in his last contest he still finished a long way behind the winner and we rule him out of our calculations. Graham Lee and Brian Hughes both ride their fair share of winners at Sedgefield and have decent prospects in this contest but our preference is for Richard Johnson's mount, Ruby Isabel.
