There is not a great deal of form to go on in this maiden but we will side with Funny Me, who is narrowly preferred to Emmrooz and Colony. The selection was slowly away on his debut at Ascot but he wasn't beaten all that far in third behind Master Chef. The race has worked out reasonably well and as he is sure to come on plenty for the experience, we will make him our tentative choice. Emmrooz could be the fly in the ointment as this well-bred Godolphin newcomer could be anything and a watching brief on the market is advised. Similar comments would apply to Colony, although he is bred to be better over further in time. Ridge Dance has plenty to prove at present and he needs this run to qualify for a nursery. We will take him on today and in a race where the market may provide all the clues, we will side with Funny Me as our tentative choice.
