Notnowcato looked a horse to follow when making a winning return in the Group 3 Earl Of Sefton at Newmarket's Craven meeting in April and is taken to take this step up in class in his stride with the main dangers looking to be Bandari and Common World. The selection had always looked a colt of potential and gave every indication that he may finally begin to fulfill it when successful at Newmarket, quickening clear of a decent looking field to score quite comfortably. His trainer, Sir Michael Stoute has a nice line through stablemate Mountain High to Boule d'Or, while Grand Passion is probably better on a faster surface. Clive Brittain's Hattan has failed to win since landing last season's Chester Vase and a bigger threat looks to be Common World, who will relish the underfoot conditions but has yet to prove himself over this far. Bandari should have no problem with the trip or ground but has been doing most of his racing over further and a safer bet looks to be Notnowcato, who gets the vote.
