Master of The Race has been off the track for the best part of a year but should go on the ground and hails from a yard that could hardly be in better form so he gets the vote to make a winning return with Star Magnitude and Percy's Pearl rated the main dangers. The selection does not look to be particularly badly treated for his debut in this grade and may well be up to giving weight away all round against some largely out of form opponents. Clive Brittain's Mina A Salem is capable but would, along with Deeper In Debt, probably prefer a faster surface. Davenport looks to be running into form and lost no caste in defeat behind Trafalgar Square in the soft at Goodwood last time. Barathea Dreams would have claims on his best form but has not been running well of late and of more interest may be Star Magnitude, who has been running well on the sand of late and would have claims if handling this surface. Percy's Pearl is lightly raced and could be open to more improvement than most but lack of a run for a horse from a stable that has not had many first time out winners this term is of concern and a safer bet looks to be Sir Michael Stoute's Master of The Race.
