Salut d'Amour, Gamble In Gold and Mr Rooney are all sure to have their supporters here but we will take a chance on the Mick Channon-trained Ajigolo. The selection did not handle the soft ground on his debut when he got worked up in the stalls and never ran his race, However he left that form behind him when winning well last time at Salisbury. He has more on his plate today but there could still be plenty more to come and at the forecast odds he looks worth taking a chance on. Salut d'Amour finished behind Gamble in Gold last time at York and will probably be seen to better effect over 6f. Gamble in Gold finished second and was only narrowly beaten by Bow Bridge in that York race. She has done little wrong so far and she also won well at Windsor on her debut, but she is not ideally drawn so that is a negative today. Mr Rooney looks to be held by Gamble in Gold on a form line through Bow Bridge who he also finished behind last time at Thirsk. This is a competitive event to open the card but we will make Ajigolo our selection.
