The winner of a minor event at Leicester, Eric Le Beau looked a horse to follow, but he may have to play second fiddle here to the well bred Nayyel. This half-brother to 12-furlong winner Rabah, will no doubt do better when stepped up in trip, but he should still have too much pace here for Giles Bravery's runner. Funfair, a half-brother to 10-furlong winner Carnival Dancer, holds an entry in the Vodafone Derby, so he will need to show something here if he is to take up that option. Sandy Bay also holds an Epsom entry and will be worth keeping an eye on regarding the future.
