Despite the lack of runners, this is ultra competitive with four of the five runners winners. Commission impressed when beating Mark Of Zorro on his debut here, and then wasn't disgraced in better company on his only other start. Always Esteemed was another to create a favourable impression on his debut at Ripon, although the bare form of that leaves him with plenty to find. However, the only maiden in the field looks the one to be with. Ikhtyar, a half-brother to French 2000 Guineas winner Landseer, is from a yard that has yet to get into full swing, but he showed enough on his debut at Newbury to suggest he wouldn't be long in losing his maiden tag. He can prove too strong for Cap Ferrat, whose yard already has enjoyed a good start to the season and he will not lack for fitness.
