BRETT VALE has plenty of weight to hump around but this progressive gelding is taken to win again at the main expense of Nawaadi. Rain wold be a problem for a few of these however as the ground stands it is hard to oppose Brett Vale. He showed a cracking turn of foot last time out here to put the good yardstick Sequillo firmly in his place and, improving with every run, he should take all the beating. Nawaadi should run better now dropped in trip on more suitable ground; he has been given plenty of time off since his run at York in May. Master Fong has run well on a variety of ground; he continues to run okay without pulling up any trees but is starting to be given a chance by the handicapper. Marju King is unexposed and may appreciate a return to the track after racing at Bath last time out, Red Suede Shoes is consistent if frustrating to follow, whilst Dubai Gem needs watching as she steps up in trip on her handicap debut. On breeding she looks sure to improve with time over this sort of distance and could be a live danger, however it is Brett Vale who can gain his fourth win in his last five starts.
