Richard Fahey's yard are in great form and he has found a good opportunity for White Ledger to make it back-to-back wins, with Pulse and Kallista's Pride ones who could make the frame. White Ledger has to defy a 6lb penalty here for a soft ground Catterick win over this trip a week ago. That was his first run over this trip in six starts and he clearly seemed to appreciate a testing five furlongs, which he will get again here. With nothing else in red hot form it can pay to support him for the follow up bid at the end of a good week for the yard. Kallista's Pride has been dropped 1lb, which will help her after being in the grip of the handicapper following a Salisbury Class E handicap win earlier in the season. She has never run on good to soft, so that is one to ponder, but she looks capable of being involved. With few of the others proven on softer ground or over this trip, Pulse may be the one to complete the frame. Milton Bradley's gelding is back on a winning mark here, and although he would prefer fast ground, he has performed well on slow going in the past and with few others firing us up he could just be good enough to get back among the prize money after a thin time of it. For the winner though, we take White Ledger to follow up.
