A disappointing turnout here and Destinaite has the ability to land this, with Brahminy Kite his likely challenger. The selection has much more experience than the other pair and his three length defeat by the impressive Shamardal in Group 2 company at Goodwood, coupled with another decent effort at Ascot last time mark him out as the serious selection here. The one nagging doubt is his ability to handle cut, as he was below par when tried on it for the only time at Newmarket last month. However, we are prepared to give him a second chance on the surface. Brahminy Kite made a very green debut at Beverley on good to soft, eventually getting the hang of things and staying on well to finish second without troubling the winner. Mark Johnston can get plenty of improvement out of him and it would be a surprise if he was not the selection's major opponent here, but we will stick with Destinaite to win for a second time.
