Verdict

Millards Lad is a model of consistency and he can win this at the main expense of Jaunty Times and Without A Doubt. The selection was not beaten far by Irish Raptor last time and that was his best run to date. He is clearly going the right way and he looks to have everything in his favour here for a big run. Jaunty Times was returning from a break last time at Kempton but still ran respectably and he should strip fitter today. Without A Doubt was a little disappointing at Ascot last time and he still has to prove that he can see out this trip, so on that basis he looks opposable today. The Luder will have no problems seeing out this trip but this 7-year-old has not won since 2006 amd he may have to settle for a minor role today. All of which returns us to Millards Lad who should prove tough to beat.
