In depth

Verdict

Neither Gimme Some Lovin nor Mineral Rights are that well drawn so we'll row in with course specialist Gilded Cove in a tricky opener. Reg Hollinshead has his string in fine form at present and his experienced sprinter, who has won ten times around here, is back down to a winning mark. He's done most of his racing over shorter but has made the frame at this trip and is given the vote. Gimme Some Lovin has been in consistent form but could find at least one too good again whilst Mineral Rights will struggle to repeat his pillar to post victory from his outside stall. Follow The Flag has to be high on the short-list but he was a shade disappointing last time and Sovereignty could cause more problems but our vote goes to Gilded Cove.
