In depth

Verdict

This should be a thorough test which can play into the hands of Ebn Malk and enable him to get the better of Arts Guild and Bluejain. Michael Jarvis' colt made light of the heavy ground at Ripon on his penultimate start where he appeared to relish the test of stamina and that appeared to be confirmed at Kempton last time as he lacked the pace to be competitive on that surface. His form stacks up and he can win again with conditions in his favour. Admiral Dundas is progressing well but had a hard race at Pontefract and has a penalty and softer ground to contend with and of more interest is Bluejain who appears to be progressing rapidly but that will need to be the case as he's shot up by 9lbs. Addwaitya, Rosy Alexander and Hallingdal all have a little to prove but Arts Guild definitely enters the equation having shown promise on all three starts and the form looks solid. He may be able to step up to the mark on his handicap bow but there should also be more to come from Ebn Malk who is preferred.
