With the exception of Esenin, all of these have realistic claims of some sort. Mount Hadley receives a token vote. Binanti is a wonderful sort and on a mark from which he can be successful, he goes well here but has only once raced on soft ground although he didn't run too badly. Southandwest has been given a squeak by the handicapper but has never raced on soft ground. Salient is back to a winning mark and has won over course and distance but has been below par the last twice. Signor Peltro is in the same boat and comes here in better form but doesn't wear the headgear that has been on for three of his last six starts. Keep Discovering needs to learn to settle better and adapt to soft ground whilst Dingaan and Mumbleswerve seem averse to winning. Mount Hadley could just as easily finish last as go close as he has shown little on either outing this season. He's been dropped by 12lbs though, is talented, is lightly raced and has won on soft ground. It's interesting that his connections persevere and it may be worth taking a chance that Mount Hadley can scale the heights of his youth once more.
